Photo 1
In this photo, I wanted to play around with the colours. The purple gives the effect of a late sunset. The vibrant purple glow is pleasant to look at and brings out the suns colours and shines. To get this effect, I first duplicated the photo, and changed the opacity, and moved the photo to the right. I then changed the vibrancy, colours and levels.

Photo 2
There isn't too much change between these two photos. What I did was make the area not touched by the sunlight black and white. Doing this slight change really brings out the sun lights rays. It makes it seem like the sun is bringing like back to the world through the small opening in the clouds. To make this effect, I duplicated the layer and changed the original layer to be black and white. And then I removed the area where the sun came through the clouds.

Photo 3
In this photo, I really wanted to bring out the snow, the whites and the blues in the photo. I made the photo seem colder. I took the light away from the sun to give a feeling of loss and mystery. The picture is so cold, it leaves you wondering what's hidden and what the rest of the photo has to offer. To make this photo, I played with the colour and contrast. I took out all the colour except blues, purples and whites.

Photo 4
Not many of the original 10 pictures I took were very dark, so I tried to focus on enhancing the shadows on this photo. With all the branches and dangling objects, there's a lot of potential for multiple shadows and to make parts of the photo equally dark and light. To make this photo, I changed the brightness and contrast settings to be darker. Then I changed the levels to bring out the shadows and darker areas
